on the mend

She was laying on the floor when she had a little coughing spell. Then she sighed.

"I give up."

"What do you mean, 'you give up'? What do you give up?"

"I just give up, Mom."

    Oh dear. I hope for your sake she outgrows this. Husbands with Man Colds are bad enough - but kids with Man Colds? I don't even want to think about dealing with BOTH.
