the case for a siamese cat

I have slacked on noticing and documenting her quips in this busy time of year, but here is a video from early December. She had the air of drama when she approached me with a "Mom, I have to talk to you about something very serious." So I grabbed my phone to document whatever serious and urgent discussion we were about to have.

Oh dear, did she get a Siamese kitten?

"I cannot trust you if you want to get me a tabby" :O

No kittens yet! We still have one very geriatric cat to enjoy and make comfortable for the waning days of her life (her sister cat died a year ago). She's 21 and completely deaf -- and nearly died herself last Spring. So we are not going to stress her out with kitten(s). But after she's gone, and we've mourned her a bit, then we'll look at a pair of kittens. And we'll see what's available at the shelters in terms of breed and personality. I seriously doubt there will be any Siamese. But I think she'll be ok with that if the net result is kiiitttttttens. :) And maybe she'll learn to trust me again if they are tabbies. Maybe.

Oh PLEASE post more videos!! I LOVE her quotes, but it's so fun actually seeing her expressions as she's talking. :)

Oy! I'm loving the lack of "trust." She's a stitch and a half!

Jen, I had to show Nate the video b/c he still doesn't believe you don't make this stuff up. He was cracking up. I shook the shame rattle at him on your behalf!

Haha, Ani! Thank you for shaking the shame rattle at him. The (sad?) thing is that this video is fairly low key for her. Actually, why don't I just send her to your house and let Nate get the real life experience? Meet her at SEA-TAC in 8 hours.
