dual identity

My child, who sometimes looks at me like I am the stupidest creature to share her oxygen, introduced me to one of her classmates like this:

"This is my mom. She knows all about anything ever in the whole world. Really. ANYTHING! Just ask her!"

Wow, that's a little bit of pressure for you. Good luck with that! :)

Oh, and thanks for sharing your kazoo with blog land. I love reading about her!

When I was a kid, one of my friends at school told me her mom knew everything; I told her that no one knows everything, but she was not convinced. So when her mom came to pick her up from our playdate, I marched up and demanded to know the capital of South Dakota. She was like, "Uh ... Piedmont??" And I was all, it's Pierre, sucka! See, your mom DOESN'T know everything!

Schooled by a 5-year-old. That girl was never the same afterwards, lol.
